I always seem to find little teaching gems on The Nerdy Teacher blog. The author, Nicholas Provenzano, recently gave a review for Markup, an iPad application that seems to make grading a little bit easier. Rather than having students waste pounds of paper for essays, Markup has made digital grading a simple procedure. When the time comes for students to submit essays they email it to a special Markup email address. The teacher then automatically has access to the paper and can use a stylus or a finger to write comments directly onto the essay. When it is graded, the essay can be sent back directly to the students email. It is a easy to use solution to on-the-go, paperless grading.
